Kids in the Kitchen

Giving  Kids in the Kitchen Lessons on Making Healthy Choices

Junior League of Edmonton in collaboration with NAIT and the Boys & Girls Club of Edmonton  hosted a community event that took a hands on approach to promoting awareness about the battle against childhood obesity. Kids in the Kitchen aimed to illustrate multiple dimensions of a healthy lifestyle: how to make healthy and nutritious after school snacks with NAIT, getting involved in physical activity, learning about nutrition and developing strong spirits, minds, and bodies.

The last Kids in the Kitchen event took place in November 2016. The Junior League of Edmonton’s new focus on girls’ self-esteem and mental health has inspired a brand new project. Learn about Girls in the Know.

Thank you to our 2016 sponsors and partners!
