The Junior League of Edmonton is committed to developing the potential of women through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. It is a place that offers women the opportunity to strengthen their existing skills, build new skills and support their community in the process. We are the catalysts for lasting community change.
Currently the Junior League of Edmonton works with community partners that focus on Girls’ Self Esteem and Mental Health. We landed on this area as it heavily resonated with the leadership team and it has been our focus area for the past 2 years. We feel that supporting young girls in building their own self esteem and confidence will have lasting positive impacts on their futures and the futures of those they surround themselves with.
Arguably now more than ever there is a spotlight on the vast and obvious imbalance of equality for girls and women. On International Day of the Girl Child we support all girls worldwide in their vision, creativity, bravery and resilience. Lead on!
