Hands on Training

The Junior League of Edmonton is committed to training volunteers to be a leading force in meeting community needs through direct service projects and programs. Junior League members are trained to enhance or develop skills needed for community leadership through participation on League committees, projects and workshops and by directly volunteering in the community.

Their are numerous opportunities within our organization as well as our community projects for hands on learning.

Webinar Wednesdays — live and on demand!

All members are welcome to take part in weekly Webinars put together by The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). The rich schedule of training and development opportunities are designed to expand both your personal and professional horizons. Webinar Wednesday presentations are facilitated by leaders, advocates and experts carefully selected for their knowledge and achievements in their respective fields and offer fresh insights and perspectives on the work we do as civic leaders in our local communities.

AJLI Resources & Online Training (Self Paced)

As a member you will get access to the AJLI members area which has a wealth of resources and self paced courses.

Guest Speakers & Workshops

Every quarter we have a guest speaker(s) and/or workshops available for our members.

 AJLI Conferences and Meetings*

JLE sends 1-2 members to take part in 4-5 annual conferences and meetings held by AJLI throughout the year. These conferences and meetings are designed to provide League Leaders with fundamental Mission-based training in the areas of Community Impact, Membership Development, Diversified Fund Development, Strategies & Tools for Nominating, and Building Internal Capacity – League Operations and more.
